Wow...I don't even know where to start. I feel like I know Lauren and Pearson so well...after a bridal shoot, an engagement shoot, a rehearsal dinner, and a wedding day! It is amazing how much you learn about people from listening to their friends and family wish them well the night before their wedding. Lauren and Pearson's family and friends ADORE them and now I know why. They are two of the most genuine, loyal, and dedicated people. I think I may have mentioned on the blog once before that these two met in China while in two entirely different mission fields -- oh, the hand of God - it amazes me! Pearson is from Alabama and Lauren is from Charlotte. Their families came from all over and I am pretty sure all of them can cut up the rug :)
Lauren and Pearson had their wedding ceremony at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in downtown Charlotte. You may know this church by it's bright red door if you live in the area. It is beautifully ornate in the sanctuary, complete with a brand new organ that sounds like nothing I've ever heard! The reception was in the Parish Hall just upstairs with big windows and tons of light. It was a great venue for a large crowd.
Lauren and Pearson chose to see each other for the first time before the wedding ceremony but they wanted to do it entirely alone so that they could soak it all in and spend a moment just enjoying each other. I loved that they did this and I think it created a much less stressful environment leading up to the ceremony. The whole day was simply wonderful. Thank you guys for the opportunity to photograph your wedding day! Ok, now it's time...I hope you enjoy!
Congratulations Pearson and Lauren!!
