Jen an Jim were married in Wilmington, NC at an old and beautiful Catholic church and their reception followed just a few minutes away at a beach house that felt like it was made for Jen and Jim's post-wedding-party! The house had this loooong balcony that invited guests to just sit and enjoy the view of the ocean. Table after table decked out in beachy wedding decor covered the porch and sat underneath a sea of blue and teal paper lanterns. Jen and Jim really wanted their wedding to refelct who they are so they decided to have a Pittsburgh-meets-Carolina theme which they acieved through their fun favors: tasty flavors of Pittsburgh popcorn and Carolina Beach salt water taffy. They also had craft beers from each location being served and an insane amount of home-made cookies made by friends and family from Pittsburgh!
Their wedding was so beautiful but long before their wedding day I exchanged many-an-email with Jen where I learned that she and I share an affinity for wordiness :) She would write to me telling me about how she and Jim met and their plans for their wedding and ask a question or two and I would write back with my ridiculously long and thorough responses. I loved hearing about Jen and Jim's history....when it finally came time to photograph them I felt like I had hung out with them a ton of times!
Jen and Jim, it was a joy to work with you two! Here's to many, many years together!
